What we do
Websites. Platforms.
Native iPhone apps.
Considered design, connected software and the technical work behind it. Explore what we build, how you keep control and what happens after launch.
01 / Websites & digital experiences
Make the next
step easier.
A website should explain what you do, feel like your business and help people take action. We design for desktop and mobile, with clear content and purposeful navigation.
For service businesses, clinics, shops and organisations ready for a new site or a thoughtful refresh.
Explore selected workDesign & responsive development
An agreed page structure and visual direction, reusable layouts, and a working website reviewed on desktop and phones.
Useful journeys
Clear calls, directions, enquiries, product browsing or connections to existing booking tools. Commerce and integrations are scoped to the actual workflow.
Search & launch foundations
Useful page titles, metadata, sitemap and indexing checks. Preserve useful content and URLs, map agreed redirects, and test key links and forms.
Control after launch
Configured everyday editing, access, a walkthrough and an agreed handover. Keep a supported existing platform when that is the better fit.
Your proposal records the pages, migration, review rounds and acceptance checks. No automatic full-library rewrite, ranking guarantee or custom booking engine.
02 / Custom platforms & integrations
More than
the interface.
When a website is only one part of the problem, we work on the system behind it: accounts, workflows, data and connected services.
Our work on Cryvector and WashScope spans geospatial intelligence, property records and service workflows. That technical depth informs how we approach new platforms.
See the platform workUnderstand the operating problem
Map who uses the system, the data it needs and what already exists. Start with a bounded discovery phase and a useful first release.
Connect the moving parts
Custom APIs, databases, role-based access, business workflows, automation and algorithms, where the project needs them.
Build in stages
Agree architecture, milestones and review points. Test the working journeys, including permissions, failures and recovery—not just the happy-path screens.
Existing-system access, supported APIs, data handling, operating costs and support responsibilities are checked before a fixed scope. Larger integrations are not small website add-ons.
03 / Native iPhone applications
Built for the
way it is used.
Native Swift applications for work that benefits from the phone itself: location, photos, device capabilities and a focused interface connected to your services.
We start by checking whether a native app is the right choice, or whether a responsive website would do the job more simply.
A clear product scope
Define the users, essential journeys, device requirements and first release before committing to a larger build.
Interface & connected software
Swift development, API connections, agreed account flows and device-specific interactions. Backend work is scoped alongside the app.
Testing & release planning
Agree supported devices, test access, acceptance checks and the distribution route. Account ownership, ongoing updates and support are explicit.
Native apps use paid discovery and staged estimates. App Store approval, third-party services and future operating-system changes are not guaranteed by a prototype.
04 / Your editing workspace
Everyday edits.
In your hands.
Keep your content current. Let us handle the code. One clear place for the changes you make and the work you ask us to do.
The day-to-day.
Update agreed text, photos, services and opening hours. Preview, then publish through your configured editor.
The bigger changes.
Send the page, a screenshot and what you need changed. SSX handles layouts, code and integrations, with progress and approval kept clear.
Design & code
Your next change.
A clear way forward.
Describe it, attach a screenshot and tell us when you need it. We confirm the scope, then share a preview before release.
- 01Request received
Brief, timing and allowance checked.
- 02In progress
SSX makes the design or code changes.
- 03Ready for your review
Approve the preview before it goes live.
Content & publishing
Small updates.
On your terms.
No code required. Edit the fields configured for your site, check the result and publish when you’re happy.
- Page text & photographs
- Services & business information
- Opening hours & contact details
A consistent design, with a history of your changes.
Editor setup and handover are included in the agreed build. SSX-led changes are included where covered by your project scope or care allowance. Anything outside that is estimated and approved before work starts.
05 / Lean by design
Only the infrastructure
you actually need.
A brochure website does not need the same infrastructure as a software platform. We keep the stack lean and show the costs before you commit.
- Simple managed website
- From NZ$49 / month
- Custom software platform
- Estimated to your usage
Standard hosting, configured staff editing and routine technical checks. Build price is separate.
Accounts, databases, storage and paid APIs are itemised around the actual system.
Website guide: 2 editors, 100 form requests and 50 publishes per month. Domain, email, commerce, specialist software and work beyond your agreed change allowance are separate. Final total, tax treatment and inclusions confirmed in your quote.
Can you work with our existing website?
Yes. We can improve an existing site, build on an established commerce platform, or develop a custom application. We review what already works before recommending a rebuild.
What will we pay after launch?
Your quote separates the build, monthly service, domain/email and any paid tools. A lightweight static frontend can use free-tier hosting within provider limits; that is not a free managed service. Forms, editing, maintenance and backend usage still need a budget.
Static hosting referenceWho owns the accounts?
Your domain and content stay yours. With managed hosting, SSX operates the agreed service and invoices you once. Alternatively, pay providers directly and agree support separately. We record account ownership, the agreed project deliverables and the transfer route in writing.
What happens from brief to launch?
A short conversation, a written scope, design review, a working build and agreed testing. You approve the release. We provide the agreed access and editing guidance, with optional care and future changes separately defined.
How we workWhat does ongoing care include?
Your plan records hosting, routine checks, staff editing and any SSX-led change allowance. Use your editor for everyday content and the request workflow for design or code work. Changes within the agreed allowance are included; work beyond it is approved first. No surprise charges.
